Dr. Hubert Bock brings with him many years of management experience, entrepreneurial thinking and a clear eye for strategic potential. With a degree in industrial engineering, he started his career at FESTO, where he was involved in strategy and sales projects on an international level from an early stage as an assistant to the management.

He was quickly drawn to the world of management consulting – to Roland Berger. There, as a project manager, he shaped the realignment and mergers of companies, particularly in the pharmaceutical, construction and electrical engineering sectors – always with a special flair for organization and implementation.

But Hubert wanted to achieve more. As CEO of the listed company H&R Wasag AG, he took on operational responsibility and expanded his management experience in other management positions in the construction industry. As Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Realtime Technology AG, he also played a key role in driving the company forward.

Today, Hubert is Managing Director of Käuffer & Co. Management Holding GmbH – the Käuffer Group. At bfw., he contributes his industry proximity and strategic experience – with the aim of successfully leading the old economy into the age of AI.

Dr. Lars Wiegmann brings with him the rare combination of financial expertise, operational management experience and entrepreneurial instinct. After completing his banking apprenticeship, he studied industrial engineering and also earned an MBA in the USA – a foundation on which he has built an impressive career.

He gained his first formative experience in corporate finance at Apax Partners, where he supported company valuations, sales and investments. But Lars didn’t just want to analyze – he wanted to create.

As CEO of H&R Wasag AG and Managing Director of Gaudlitz GmbH, he took on operational responsibility early on. His passion: realigning companies, streamlining processes, empowering teams. In almost 20 years as Managing Director of Kunststofftechnik Bernt GmbH, he has proven that he not only leads companies through difficult phases, but also sets them up for the future.

His industry focus is on the construction and construction supply industry, mechanical engineering and automotive supply – markets in which he not only knows his way around, but in which he is at home. At bfw., Lars is the brains behind restructuring, strategic alignment and transformation. Always clear, always strong in implementation.

Stefano Saeger brings a fresh entrepreneurial spirit with analytical depth to bfw. After completing his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Business Innovation at the University of St. Gallen, he went straight to the place where new ideas are born: ABB – as the Group’s first R&D and Innovation Trainee.

There he immersed himself in the world of new products and technology trends – with stops in Zurich and Silicon Valley. The spark was lit: Start-ups and innovations became his thing.

The next step was almost logical – to b2venture, a venture capital firm with a focus on early-stage investments. Stefano worked there for five and a half years, most recently as Principal for the insurer Helvetia. With a clear eye for potential, he invested in over 14 start-ups across Europe – and was the voice of the investor on numerous advisory boards.

Today, Stefano is responsible for all investments in start-ups and funds at bfw – always with an eye on our core business and how new ideas can make our existing companies even better.
